small problem with visors
i've noticed that my visors are a little loose as far as rotating down ... doesn't take much of a bump at all to make them sag a bit ... any suggestions on how to tighten them back up?
I'd suggest picking one up at a salvage yard, taking it apart, and see how it is retained.
My guess is that with use a spring of some sort fatiques and the easiest fix will be new replacements. Or, one might find they can remove the visor, stand it on end, and let some sort of glue run down the rod, tightening it. I don't know, but I've used this method on old visors with the same problem that basically had covered cardboard or some sort of fiberboard wrapped about the rod. The glue needs to be pretty running and not too good. One needs to make sure as it's setting up that the visor still rotates a bit and can be "broken loose" when totally set.
All the best and tell us what you find if you get one to take apart.

Same thing happened on my quad cab. Fortunately I was still under the 3/36 and the dealer replaced them N/C. The service manager said he'd seen the problem before and replacement is the only answer.
