Default 2002 dodge ram wont crank after motor swap

I have a 2002 dodge ram 1500 4.7 4x4.
I blew the original motor so I had to swap andyes I know stupid move but I went to Pick-N-Pull did all the normal checks compression check the oil or what was left in it and everything looked good so I'm just trying to give you-all a little background. So I did the swap everything went fine went to start it and nothing happened lights come on windshield wipers work windows work just no crank and the gauges will jump from Park to neutral to all gears lit up but still no crank I've checked the wiring harness everything is plugged up correctly and I'm not missing any plugs I am now on week three please help..

What checks have you done over the three weeks that you've worked on it? Info on what you've checked and eliminated as problems would be helpful.
Have you checked the PCM for power and ground?
Is starter getting power with key in start position?
Have you turned engine by hand to ensure it is not locked?
Can you post a picture of your gauges with key in on position?
What diagnostic tools do you have?
If you don't have one already, rec getting a scan tool that can read live data.
Power probes are nice troubleshooting tools, though a DVM will do most of the same checks.

What year did you pull the engine out of? 4.7's had varying tooth count crank tone wheels through the years.

You could probably get the harness, but the computer would most likely need re-programming.

Actually, I don't think that would work either, assuming he is going from and engine with the 16 tooth tone ring, to an engine with the 32 tooth. Its an entirely different system, and the two are in no way compatible. He could change the PCM and harness, but, the pcm would be unable to communicate with ANY of the other modules on the truck. Including the instrument cluster.

I was assuming he meant the same exact engine with the same parts and all. But yeah if that's not the case then I agree that it wouldn't work
