My key wasn’t turning tried everything. Just gave around the ignition a few hard hammer fists and it turned. Just a tip for anyone stuck in the same **** snare I was in.

Did you try rotating the steering wheel a little? If the whels are turned when you shut it off, the sprag can get caught and be in a bind.

Or the key might not be good. I remember buying a new set of keys and they never had issues, unlike my old keys that had come with my truck. They would sometimes get stuck in the ignition.

There is a tendency for the locking arm to stick on these. You can peel the rubber boot near the key open and see the arm that locks the steering column. Shoot a little WD-40 in there to free it up. I had the same issue and found a Youtube video that showed doing it. Prior to that, I had to fight the key and after that, no problems.
