Default Lower a/c housing replacement - with or without dash

Hello everybody

Just recently purchased a 3rd Gen Ram1500 (first half ton truck). This will be my first post so please be gentle, looking forward to being part of the community.

So I recently took out the seats and carpet to give them a good cleaning and noticed underneath the dash the lower a/c housing (Part Number: 68021975AB) was all cut up and covered in tape. My question to the group is can I replace that part without dropping the dash or can I unbolt the bottom screws and replace the housing.

Any advice is greatly appreciated, looking forward to hearing from you guys

O

Sounds like someone put in a Heater Treater blend door fix in your truck: https://heatertreater.net/dodge-ram-02-08
You can replace the assembly, but the dash has to come out. Or at least up enough for clearance.
