2005 Dodge ram 5.7 P0404

2005 Dodge ram 5.7 P0404
So I replaced the EGR valve on my 2005 ram 5.7. Drove it a couple of MIles and it threw the p0404 Code. I replaced it with an aftermarket part off of amazon. Could it be that I was given a bad part and it needs to be replaced with an OEM one. or should I check other things that could be causing this?

New kid in the block ( grandpa young 11 months ),
First pickup ever, 04 Dodge Ram 4x4 with 5.7L Hemi 103 K miles on.
DTC P0404 EGR, I did clean and reinstall EGR, did not clean a tube, someone who install existing valve do wrong metal gasket install ( 180 degrees turn )
Two times after only 35-37 miles driving engine light went on.
Please help me out to fix that, my scan tool is Launch X-431 V+ V4.0
