No Heater Blower
Hey guys, looking for ideas of common issue before I go crawling under my dash...at 6'3" 300 lbs I don't want to contortion myself unnecessarily. I replaced the controller figuring it to be the culprit since it definitely had power, as it worked intermittently and the A/C indicator would illuminate as I pressed it, even with blower switch off, so I figured the switch to be bad and not making contact, so the A/C doesn't know not to turn on without the blower. I know it's not impossible, but the blower motor has been replaced. Another concern, and reason I don't want to squeeze under the dash with a meter quite yet is the lamps don't light up when headlights are on...old unit several bulbs were visibly burnt out, but for the new ones to also not work, and NONE of them working makes me think there could still be something else besides blower motor or resistor.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank You

I've never replaced one on a 2nd Gen, but the heater blower resistor is the most common issue to cause this. Older trucks have wires that will burn out. Newer ones are a sealed block that can melt. What will happen is you only have high speed when it starts to fail. Then it will quit altogether. The solid state one I replaced was on a Jeep but it would sometimes work if you wiggle the wires. When I got it out, it was visibly melted.
