Default Adding a Winters Shifter to a 545RFE, anyone done it?

Running into issues with the cable. Part is 52109624AD. Was trying to find a way to remove the ends and swap to the new Winters Shifter cable as well as re-use the bracket that retains the cable to the side of the tranny itself.

Cheers

What possible issues could you be running into with it unless you burned it on exhaust somehow?

For one Winters does not make a shifter kit for the 545RFE. I am using a shifter kit for a TFT727 as it has the closest gate pattern.
I need a way to retain the housing casing fixed to allow the rod to slide as it shifts.
My original question was to know if there is a way to remove the ends of the shifter cable and brackets.

Thanks
