Default 4WD Light and Noise

2008 SLT 4WD 5.7 Hemi 114k miles

My "Service 4WD" Light started coming on intermittently and I was hearing a noise from under the truck (also intermittently) when idling or even after it was turned off so I took the Truck to the dealer. They found this:
Code c1404 t case range position sensor. Found shift motor frozen replace t case shift motor/sensor and verify operation. Covered for free under Lifetime powertrain warranty. 1 5143477AB Gear MTR-Transfer Case.

I got partway home on the highway doing 65-70 and the "4 Low" light started flashing. It would flash on and off 2-3 times quickly and I could feel a slight "bumping" as if there was a little bit of resistance coming from the drivetrain. "Lurching" is too strong a word, just slight quick resistance. Took it back to the dealer they couldn't reproduce the problem and said to bring it back if it starts doing it "more consistently"

It's been doing it now for 3 weeks but it's intermittent. Have tried putting it in 4wd and 4 Low and back out, thinking maybe something just needed reset after the shift motor was replaced, but the issue continues. I finally was able to record the sound while the truck was idling and I have attached the file. The noise is exactly the same noise it was making before I took it into them initially.

I know I can take it back to the dealer for free but if this is something really simple, like they just forgot to plug a sensor in or something, I'd just as soon crawl under there and do it myself, rather than another trip back and forth and be without the truck for 2 days.

Any expert ears have an opinion or thoughts?

Thanks in advance.
