Default 07 Running warm intermittently

07 with a 5.7. It's not overheating per se, but temp gauge is suddenly running a bit warm randomly. It's not losing any coolant, I topped off and burped the system to no avail...it almost acts as if the thermostat keeps opening and closing, even once completely up to normal operating temp...It'll creep up a few needle widths above the middle line on the gauge, then after a min or so, drops down to a few needle widths below middle line. It didn't used to do this, so I know it's not normal operation. Any ideas where I should start looking??

Might replace the thermostat anyway.

Agree with changing the t-stat. Other possibilities are failing fan clutch, failing water pump and bad radiator.
