gearing question
I was wondering if regearing the rear end would help with some throttle response. I have 35's with the 3.92 gearing on a 2wd w/hemi. The overall performance is great but I'm looking for more acceleration from a stop. Also, if this is a feasible option, would something like this cost?

I'm thinking of doing the same thing when I replace my tires. I saw either 4.10's or 4.11's made for our trucks.
As far as putting them in everybody seems to rave about how hard it is. If you have an indicator and some time it really is not that hard to do. I have done several without a problem. You just have to be careful in your measurements and patient. There are a lot of good web pages out there that show axle teardowns and rebuilds.
When I used to do side work it would usually end up being 2 to 3 hours of labor plus the cost of gears. An expert shop could probably do it faster.
