Oh do you? Well then if you know so much then why are you asking HERE LMAOOOOOO?
Tell you what, yes, yes you can do it IF..........................you pull the crankshaft, swap for the correct tone ring, put the crank back in, lock the VVT phaser, rearrange your entire accessory drive (including multiple hoses and wiring) to fit and get rid of the MDS hardware. Then yes, with a custom tune you will have an engine that makes the same amount of power your original stock 5.7 would've made with a simple cam swap.
What you want to do (and is why you're disagreeing with me when you have no clue as to what you're doing) is use a VVT & MDS engine with active intake that by itself is a generation ahead of your stock 5.7 but is controlled by electronics that are two CAN bus generations ahead of your simple PCI bus truck. Simply put, you cannot integrate the more advanced CAN bus into the older PCI structure.
IF IF IF IF IF.......you have the ENTIRE truck and you are willing to swap EVERY harness and module stem to stern, top to bottom........then yes you can. This has actually been done successfully.

Then get at it......most people start projects like this then peter out, or figure out they're in WAYYY over their heads. Post pics if/when you're done.

hwykat, is your question about putting a 3 gen tranny in a 4 gen truck? If so, it looks like the PCM and harnesses are the same.
