'05 Daytona QC
Does anyone know how many of the Daytonas were produced in '05, or at least point me in the direction of someone that can? The dealership here wasn't too big of a help.

I did alot of web serching for info on the DAYTONA's b4 i got mine and the dealer i got mine from ONLY had (1) in Silver and a 4x4 which is what I wanted. I also went to a few other dealers and they had NONE!!! So i had to grab it fast b4 it was gone. Because they were ONLY to be 3700 made, mine being "0584" , BUT after i got mine i was at another dealer about 3 months later to grab some touch-up paint and as soon as i got into the lot there were 11 SILVER QC 6 WERE 4X4, in a line, needless to say i just had to see what the numbers were and some were 07926,06509 ect........ so as far as how many were made "who knows"....... so much for it being a " LIMITED EDITION " !!!!!!!! OH WELL AT LEAST I GOT SOMEWHAT OF A LOW NUMBER IF THAT MEANS ANYTHING.....

Thanks. The last few dealerships I called could only tell me that they were a limited edition!! Really?

I knew that they were limited, but no one at the dealerships could tell me how limited. I knew when I saw the 08775, and with it being a few days away from '06, there couldn't be more than 10,000. I wasn't sure though.

 

If anyone is looking for one I know of a dealer in Toledo that had 3 2005 go mango ext. cab models as of yesterday.

 

I've got 07879. I was wondering if the numbers are sequential for ALL Daytonas or if regular cabs and QC's have their own 'limited' number run....in which case there's a lot of them!

 

If anyone is still interested, I called D/C for the final answer. Dodge's "preliminary" counts suggest that 08776 were made. I laughed so hard when I heard this. That means that I have the next to last one made for the '05 year. I guess they are going to do a "census" in the Spring of '06 to get a more acurate figure. I'll just call back and go through the 2 day run around to get a good count.

 

I remember hearing a comedian joking about the Ford LTD...

"... this is supposed to be a limited adition vehicle... limited to the number that they could sell"

Seems like MaBenz has bought into that marketing plan.

By this standard the Ford F-150 is also a limited edition vehicle.

 

I bought 09069, 05 Silver Regularcab daytona.

 

Just like the ruble bees were supposedly to be a limited run til dc figured out that they were selling and decided to up production numbers. Really ticked alot of bee owners off.
