Default Strange Stabilizer Bar Endlink Situation

One of the Stabilizer Bar Endlinks on my 02 4wd Ram is broken on the lower portion so went to the parts store to get a replacement. New one is about 3-4 inches taller. double and triple checked the part number (7422) which is correct and seems to match the pictures online. The other side's endlink is fine and is the same shorter length as the broken one. Here's a pic of the issue with the new one held by the one on the truck :

I'm wondering if the previous owner replaced them with the RWD links? I just did my 03 RWD and they look shorter.

The new sway bar link looks like the same length as the set I installed recently.
I'm no expert on sway bar links, but I believe that you will be fine as long as both sides are the same length.
In my track club, a lot of the cars have adjustable sway bar links. The drivers use the lowest holes (shortest length) for the track, then go to longer lengths for city driving.
