08 ram 1500sxt 4x4. Canadian made. 1 of a kind
This truck is a Frankenstein. It's originally built for higher elevations for northern Quebec Canada. I've replaced just about everything short of an engine and transmission overhaul. My trouble started after I did my plugs and crank position sensor. Now my scanner says the pcm/ ecm and tipm are communicating. I am currently cleaning up my tipm. And found a wire disconnected from the A port group. The solid red wire from the right bottom of the plug. It will start but runs like it's only on 1/3 of it's plugs. I'm trying to eliminate all other possibilities before buying new coils and ecm/tipm. Any suggestions?
Try reading engine rpm on your scanner and see if you get any unusual readings. CPS provide engine rpm info. You can also check the CPS with a multimeter.
