Question K and N Cold are Intake Problem

Hello,

I Have a K and N cold air intake that I recently installed in my 2007 dodge rem 1500 5.7 L Hemi getting about 13MPG on the city streets! I was reading through some forums and people were claiming to get 3-5 mpg higher just with this install and more horsepower! As soon as I put it in I didn't realize too much of a change in HP but did see my gas millage procced to tank. at the moment I'm getting 10pmg on the freeway and about 7 in city streets. I was wondering if there was anyone that could maybe help me with common problems or steps that I might have missed. the install was very easy and I'm confused about where I could have gone wrong. I appreciate all the help!

Put the OEM intake back on and see if it improves. If it does then you know it's the intake causing it and not something else. Some vehicles require a tune too add a cold air intake.
