Yet another A/C issue
Hello Everybody, I am new to the dodge forum even though i have owned my dodge for about a year now. I am a diesel tech, and i can usually fix a problem if one occurs but my A/C has me stumped. I was having a problem with warm air blowing out of my passenger side face vents. I recharged the system hoping it was just low, but it did not solve my problem. I pulled the dash thinking it was a blend door issue, and all I found was some deteriorating foam. I did also make sure my doors and actuators worked. I replaced all the foam on my doors, and both my evaporator and heater core. I put it back together, pulled a vacuumed, and charged the right amount of 14 oz. When i turned the truck on to see if it was fixed, the same thing happened. WARM AIR ON MY PASSENGER SIDE!!! and cold as **** on the driver. If I flip it to the floor, it is ice cold on both, but the moment it is back on the face it is nuke warm. I have about the same amount of air coming out on both sides. It is completely puzzling me, and any help you guys might have would be greatly appreciated!!----2005 ram 2500 4X4 non dual climate control
Do you have the dual zone climate control or no? That will help us know if that's at fault or not. Now also did you check to make sure the actuator works with the dash buttoned up. See if you can listen to it going in and out, it could be that it works with the dash unbuttoned but buttoned up it doesnt work (more resistant potentially?)
