No bus
Got a superchips tuner and had it in for one day. After 15 minutes I went to start it to leave friends house and everything died. No power so I stuck a jumper pack on and it started but then died after disconnecting the pack. About 30 minutes later it finally started and was able to drive. The next day I loaded the stock turn back on and changed my wire harness in the dash. Got everything back up and running and went to load a tune and it says no bus and it fails to tune. Quick option tunes still work which its only the tire size that I get. My other scanners work just fine tho it reads error codes if any and no issues. Only when I try to load a tune. After many hours of research I am still at a loss. I checked my 5 volt reference as recommended and it's at 12 volts at the throttle body connection along with the air intake sensor and map sensor. The truck starts and runs just fine. Everyone that has had this issue that I read or see on YouTube are not able to even start the vehicle. They're always no crank no start. I am just at a loss on why I have a no bus on the dash but can start drive and even get readins from the pcm. Anyone have an answer or idea before I give in and take it to the dealer.
First check static battery voltage. Anything less than 12.6v and you should re-charge or replace it.
Check your grounds to the engine and frame. Most confusing electrical issues can be solved by addressing the basics.
Conduct voltage drop test during start. Try to isolate if starting problem is battery, ground, starter, or something else. Bonus if you are reading battery voltage during a no-start situation.
You're getting 12V at TBS. Read TBS voltage while you disconnect 5V sensors. When you disconnect a sensor and TBS goes to 5V, that sensor is the faulty one and should be replaced.

the wire harness inside the dash and the amp went in with it. Ive tried unplugging the amp the radio battery reads at 12.6v I have it on a charger usually when I am trying to load the tuner again. It does start and run no issues. I only see the "no bus" when it tries to load the tune. I think I am missing the skim module I think there isn't anything that goes over the ignition switch and there is a connector just chillin inside the steering wheel cover. I will look up how to do those tests you are recommending. I'm still somewhat new so to all this but will get to it here shortly after a red bull
