Default ECU not recognizing Crank Pos Sensor

Just rebuilt a 4.7 pulled from a junk truck. Checked VIN for compatibility. After install in my truck ('04 1500), it's giving me a "No" for the Crank Sensor signal and a "Yes" for Cam sensor. Scope shows a solid signal to the ECU (tested at the ECU plug) and it is 5 volts. Swapped ECU with a properly running truck with the same engine and compatible VIN and it is doing the same thing. It runs rough and takes a little while for the tach to show RPM's. Any help would be appreciated.

Both engines involved are 16 tooth. Only kept the block. Reman crank.

Swapped with another OEM sensor and it does the same thing. It's getting the signal at the ECU.

Wow, a weak battery, or failing starter can cause that code? Bizarre.......

Does the engine crank good? Fire right up?

Where are you testing the signal at? The sensor, or the PCM end of the harness?
