06 Ram 4.7 Electrical Issue
Okay I am stuck
2006 Ram 1500 with 4.7
Having big time electrical issues.
Get into truck to start and Anti Theft red light flashes. Try to start and nothing. No lights, no radio, nothing lights up on the instrument cluster besides the red light for anti theft. It will flicker when key is turned to start.
If I unhook the battery cables and hold them together for a few minutes, it will start up and run like nothing ever happened.
It started off a few months ago and would only have to do this every couple of weeks. Now I’m having to do this almost every time I go to start it.
Any hints or diagnostics would be awesome.
I’m starting to think that Computer is bad but I’m not sure.

How long ago was the keyfob made/etc? Some vehicles use the fob's battery to transmit the code and if low it can cause... unpleasant effects. But if a battery clear fixes this then it sounds like the security module is having a fit. Give us codes if possible or go to a place and have them read them off and list them to us.
