white smoke!
For the last few weeks I notice white smoke out my exhaust at start up.tonight when i gave my truck the gas I could see smoke from my truck in the guys head lights behind my trucks got 172k on her., trucks an 03 1500 hemi.Not sure if my engine is on its way out or is it something i can fix?The spark plugs are about 2 years old and so are the wires i never changed the pcv value im guessing thats not what it is though.Any thoughts?

coolant and not all the time on start up but i would say about 80 percent of the time it does.The other day it was a pretty big white cloud of smoke on start up.
My first suspect would be a bad head gasket. There are several videos for testing the head gasket.
Some checks you can do:
- see if you can smell coolant if you stand near the tail pipe with the engine running
- does water slowly drip out of the exhaust with the engine running?
- remove the radiator cap with the engine cool. Do you see oily film in the coolant? Start the engine and let it warm up with the radiator cap off, do you see bubbles in radiator filler neck?
You can also do a compression check, leak down test, and test the cooling system pressure. Auto parts stores will have the tools to perform these tests.
