My 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 4.7 L, V8. What is happening is when you start her up, it revs up so high like you have the pedal floored, then it will shut off.

 

Googles or you tube Mak’s TIPM for two procedures. Soft reset is a relearn for throttle position. Hard reset has you disconnected both battery cables and clamp them together which drains all capacitors of energy of faulty codes.
It is a free fix if it works for you.
