Default Interior lights dim until visor or glove box open

The Interior lights have been modified by the previous owner to leds and are dim when ever you turn them on. If you open the visor or glove box they turn all the way on what could cause this.

Did you ever figure this out?? I have an 04 ram 3500 with the exact same issue. Led bulbs and they only come on if you open the glovebox or one of the visors.

Mine also screams about a lamp out whenever the headlights are on and you use a turn signal. no bulb is actually out.

I haven't been bothered to fix the issue I wonder if it has something to do with the resistance of the leds being Lower than the stock bulbs.

Could be. I might go and get factory bulbs and see if that solves my problems. Chrysler electrical systems are weird lol

LED bulbs in a system set up for Halogen bulbs can cause random things like that to happen. It probably would be best to try factory halogen bulbs and see what gives.

Without a resistor to regulate the power you will experience that, and most likely on any car that isn't wired for led.....

Default Solved!!

Hello all! I just purchased an 04 ram 3500 dually with this problem. Today I replaced the aftermarket LED bulbs with the factory halogen bulbs and that solved all the issues. Hope this helps somebody!
