I have a 2008 dodge ram 1500. The **** for the vent mode is loose and by feel, I can tell it does not catch any of the modes. Air comes out of the defrost and floor vents only, with residual air coming out the dash vents.

​​​​Also the temperature doesn't switch over on command and works intermittently. Right now it's stuck on cold. It seems as if it turns on to the temperature I want when it feels like it (it could take months). This past summer, it turned over to a/c 2 days into a heat wave, and not it's stuck on a/c mode.

Any idea what the problem /problems could be?

 

I replaced the check valve underneath the radio coming from climate controls to fix mine, was all gunked up.

 

4 year old thread???? I would like to think he got this fixed quite some time ago......
