engine not in place

Default engine not in place

okay this is a rookie question but this is the first time i’m doing one of these trucks and i’m doing by myself but i have the engine bolted to the transmission but the engine is off by a little for the engine mount bolts i don’t know what to do now anyone have an idea?

and it’s a 2002 ram 1500 4.7 automatic transmission

Pick it up a little bit, to take the weight off the mounts, then shuffle it around as needed to get them to line up.

yeah that’s the problem it’s like it too far back

Should be able to lift it enough to pull it forward a bit. May have to pry on the trans from underneath, just be VERY careful what you are prying on.

we’ll see there’s another problem the trans is still bolted to the truck

The rear trans mount should have a little give..... The other option would be to unbolt the rear trans mount, get the engine mounts in place, and the trans mount should be right close to where it needs to be.
