Overcooling...TIPM??
Yes. Compressor will remove moisture at any temp setting.
Ok. Never noticed it before then.
On another note, removed the cooling fan and clutch. Ran with no fans at all to get new clutch. Still not getting to temp and it's about 48* out right now.

I warrantied the Duralast. Boiled the new one before putting it in to verify it works. Still running 191*-196* per scanner. Going to try a new rad cap tomorrow since the gasket is cracked on it, even though it doesn't leak.
UPDATE:
Found Advanced Auto has the Carquest Premium thermostat. Same part number as a Stant. Same part??? I don't know.
Anyway, I got it, put it in.
Also put a new rad cap on.
Hooked up scanner to read temp. Got to 212* then dropped. Expected that. After bleeding the system with the scanner still attached, it's running 194*ish.....still. No change. I can get temp to 204* with heat off and holding RPM's at 3500, then it'll drop to 200*-201*. Drop back to idle and temp back to 194*.
I'm at a complete 100% loss on this one.

So far I've done:
3 thermostats, one in now is Carquest Premium (appears to be a Stant) all supposedly 203*
Duralast temp sensor, reads the same as the old one did with both scanner and gauge on truck
Duralast 16lb radiator cap, have a Mopar 17lb on order
Duralast fan clutch, removed and reinstalled old OEM one as it made it sound like a Mack dump truck
After all this it still runs 195*ish. I'm going to put the Mopar cap on when it gets here and call it whatever. I'm done chasing my tail on it.

Or order one online.
