I'm trying to replace my CV axle and can't get it to slide off the intermediate shaft, any suggestions or help? I have used a hammer and pry bar but it's just not giving.

I hate to say it but you may have to buy new shafts…they love to seize….I work in a shop and 3 out of 5 they won’t budge, even after cherry red torching, weasel ****, and a lot of hammering and no go…I know someone who actually broke their 20 ton press trying to get it out…..after taking out diff and carrier etc and pressing through axle tubes
on mine I took the torch and cut shaft in half and bought new ones, had almost 4 hours into trying to separate and it was a no go…
