Default No CEL but has engine codes

Hey guys I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 3500 with the 5.9 Cummins I had a problem where the truck would sometimes loose power or just shut off going down the road, also dash light would dim and every time I did the cycle the key trick to see the codes it was throwing there would by different codes so I thought electrical I pulled the plugs off the Ecu and found they were vary brittle and had lots of corrosion so I replace the engine harness, haven’t got to other harnesses yet, so now the truck runs great been driving it for bout 2 weeks now no CEL but when I first got the truck back together there was not a CEL but just because I did the cycle the key trick just to see if any codes and about 10 different codes came up all electrical related so I figured just from having everything disconnected so figured they would go away after a while but did it again today just to see and all codes still there but still no CEL I know the CEL work because it lights up when I first crank the truck then goes right off so my questions are, are these codes something to worry about? Can I clear them without a code reader to see if they come back? And why are there codes showing with no CEL are they some kind of stored codes or inactive codes? Thanks

If it is running good with no issues, I would just drive it (( as is. They may go away after a certain number of drive cycles. You may need a code reader to erase them. I would either buy a cheap OBD2 code reader (I think I got my cheap one at Walmart for under $30) or go somewhere like Autozone and they might reset it for free.

What’s the code numbers?
some codes are generic and won’t set off the CEL even though technically it’s a code….

my CEL is off in my 02 5.9 gas…..it works cuz sometimes I get a p0308 and it will come on….but with it off I always have a P0500 stored (speed sensor and I’ve replaced sensor, wiring, and connector) but my Speedo is dead nuts with the mobile cop radar stands on the roads, and my tach works as it should….though my cruise doesn’t work but it hasn’t since I bought it

Some parts stores loan them out, and you can do whatever you want. You could buy one of those $15 or less tools that you can connect with your phone using the torque app. I've found those pretty useful.

Here is video to show you how easy it is:
