Default Driveshaft Yoke Plug/Cap Leak Fix

Just had a slight drip develop from the driveshaft rear, not the seal at the diff but seems to be from the yoke plug/cap. Have to check the diff fluid as its likey a bit low but I've found 3 options for a fix online :

1) clean the outside of plug while still installed and jb weld the outer area around plug.
2) Remove yoke, and then the plug, then clean and RTV inner area of plug that goes into yoke and install back into yoke, then RTV or JB Weld outer
3 ) Replace the whole yoke (heard there may be an updated one?)

Anyone else have the issue and can comment on the fix they used and how long it lasted?
Pic of the issue :

That is a weird place for a leak..... The u-joint is pre-greased.... and it really shouldn't leak like that. Ever.... Did the zerk fitting fall out? Was it even greaseable??

No zerk fitting there, just the cap/plug on the yoke. These pics are not from my Ram as I haven't decided on the way to fix yet but here's pic of a yoke with the cap/plug removed and another where its been sealed :

Not sure what holds the yoke in place into the rear diff. The Yoke cap/plug is just pressed in apparently so if you remove to fix a leak you just tap it out.

Looks like I will be going with cleaning the outside of the Yoke cap/plug and using RTV Red or Black to seal and hope she holds. I'm doing a full rear diff fluid change this weekend, picked up the 75w90 gear oil and Posi Trac LSD additive today.

So after cleaning the area where the leak is, it looks like the yoke plug/cap is on the front of the diff and the rear has the pinion nut which is where mine is actually leaking. Leaks thru the threads and more in the warmer weather it seems. Will likely try the Blue Devil stop leak that is ok for differentials and see if that stops it.

That's just bizarre. Have you checked the vent on the rear axle? Is it plugged up? That's about the only reason I could think of that the diff would have enough internal pressure to push fluid out there.

Checked the vent hose and is seems ok - put a flexible wire in the tube and it went in all the way to the junction block it sits on with a couple of brake lines, no gunk on it.

Anyone know a good way to get the hose off the vent cap brake block easily without breaking the nozzle?
