tires for '06 1500?

Default tires for '06 1500?

i just got a 2006 1500 megacab and the tires/wheels are a lil shrimpy. i need advice on a tire/whell combo or just tires to fit on the stock 17 inch rims. im looking for more off road tires.

See if you can find some Toyo Open Country. Those are my next tire. My buddy has them on his truck and they are pretty sick.

Nitto Grappler AT's. Nice tire at a decent price. Get the 295/70/17's. There 33" tall and fit fine on the stock rims as there not quite as wide as standard 33/12.50/17's.

so they wont be too big for the fenders?
im having trouble convincing my dad to get tires, i know for a fact he will not go for a lift.
what do you think of the procomp all terrains?

Is the truck a 4x4? If it is any 33/12.50/17 or thinner tire should fit fine without a lift. I don't know about a 2wd though.
