Default What Upper A Arm should I get for 04 1500 4WD 5.7? Aluminum ? Steel? OEM or after mar

Boots are starting to rip on my OEM Upper A Arm, I believe they are original, Should I replace with factory? I see prices are all over the place and some are Aluminum and some are steel, Some after markets list a left and right and OEM lists one part number for both sides.

I am thinking OEM but I am open to suggestions. I do not have a lift kit. The Ball joint is still tight but eventually they are going to fail.

Thanks

Is your control arm and bushings in good condition? If so, I'd just replace the ball joint.
Aluminum vs steel control arm is not a major decision, both will work fine. Steel is better if you work your truck hard and drive rough surfaces. Aluminum is lighter and won't rust.

Ball joint isn't sold separate for my year, I did replace just the ball joint in the bottom Arms.

I went with steel on my last one I did a few months back - the aluminum one had a piece of aluminum around the ball joint break and it came apart during driving, not fun. I'll only go with steel now, same price at my parts place and it has a grease nipple as well.
