Hi from Motown.
Hello folks. I'm Mike from metro-Detroit. Been a major mopar hobbyist for 50 years! I have a 03 RAM 3500, with a 5.9 and six-speed. It's 2wd and just used for towing and running larger items. Last issue I had, was rodents ate my injector harness. After a claim, it was rebuilt at a local dealer. It just turned 98K, and has been pretty issue-free [still has original batteries from 02]. As of this morning, it has started a long-crank/no-start, intermittently. Anybody got an idea what's happening? It seems to run fine, but I obviously don't drive it very often. In 2 weeks, I'll be making a long tow to Pa....anything I should worry about?
Thank you....
All filters and fluids were changed about 16 months ago/1-2K miles. Funny I didn't see the grid light on for long, the last time I started it. Think I'll look into that, tomorrow.
Maybe those rodents got more of the harness than initially viewed...

No grid light on dash[just when initial ignition on]. It started "cold" last night, at about 85 degrees ambient. Took about 8-10 cranks/revolutions. I have to check the volt-meter for discharge, to see if it's working.

Verify that the grid heaters are actually getting powered. Might be as simple as a failing relay.
