I've got an 05 ram 1500 with the hemi and I'll be driving down the road and about 50 55 miles an hour it feels like it gets slammed into Park I was wondering if anybody knew what was causing this.

Need a little more info, do the wheels lock up? Do the rpms go up and it not move? And other noises or anything before you hit that speed or is it 55 and boom issue happens?

No the wheels don't lock up. The rpms jump a little bit its like when it goes into over drive it does a really hard down shift sometimes you can hear like a whine noise. I've changed the input and output speed sensors but it's still happening. There isn't any codes that show up either

They’re known for the solenoid packs going bad….but that usually makes it go into limp mode not slam gears…

fluids ok and up to proper level? Have you maintained the tranny at all…..they need love, I hate to say it but I’ve done probably 10 ram transmissions from 03-06 in past 3 years at my shop….a rebuild may be in the works
