Default 06 Ram 1500 tcc chugging?

I feel a light chugging when adding throttle while going at mid to higher speeds (50-70mph). This started happening recently. I have a scan tool, and I thought originally it might be from the MDS system, but all the live data from MDS looks fine and it's not activating when this happens. It feels like the torque converter locking or unlocking rapidly, and when looking at the TCC live data, I see the 'present gear TCC state' and 'target TCC state' always match. They read 'unlocked' while accelerating and in lower gears (as they should) and everything feels normal. In high gear they sometimes read 'partial EMCC' temporarily, but they read 'transitioning' often. When I add throttle from partial EMCC, they quickly move to 'transitioning'. When I add some throttle to 'transitioning' that's when I feel the chugging. If I add enough throttle, they will unlock and the trans will downshift and everything feels normal. I do not see the reading ever change to something like 'locked' or 'engaged' or whatever it should say when it's completely locked. Trans fluid is normal level and looks clean. Pedal position and throttle position sensor data looks relatively smooth and normal to me.
I do have an O2 sensor code, but no transmission / TCC codes.
I would like to unplug the TCC connector and make sure that I don't feel any chugging at any time, but I can't tell which connector it is, and can't find a picture anywhere on the internet. Assuming that the issue is the TCC trying to unlock or partially unlocking, does anyone have suggestions on what part is actually going bad? TCC solenoid? Torque converter itself? Other stuff?
Thanks in advance
