Default Sticking rear brake caliper? Tow/haul?

2004 2500 5.9 HO.
When at a stoplight with the brake pedal depressed my truck will lurch forward as if a rear brake caliper just became unstuck. But that cannot happen with the brake pedal and depressed right? Half the time when I let the brake off at the stoplight the truck will not idle forward as it should. When pulling out into traffic I really have to rev it up sometimes. It feels as if a break may be on or I am Towing something heavy. When trying to reach freeway speed I really have to jump on it to make speed. Again sometimes it feels like I'm towing a work trailer behind me. It did this a few times a year ago or so. But lately it is happening nearly every time I drive it. It seemed to be again last week after I had driven no more than 10 ft with the emergency brake engaged. Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks

Jack up the rear, trans in neutral, (block the front tires so the truck doesn't try and roll away....) spin the rear tires by hand, pay attention to how much effort it takes..... step on the bake HARD a couple times, and try it again. See what happens. Your truck is old enough, it may just be the soft lines to the calipers breaking down. When that happens, they tend to act as one-way valves..... and the brakes remain applied, even after you release the pedal. If one of the lines is bad, replace ALL of them.

Agree with heyyou, you could also try bleeding the brakes by stepping on the brake pedal. See if fluid flows out of the caliper normally.
