Default 2004 ram fuel gauge
I have a 2004 ram 1500 , the fuel gauge sometimes will slowly drop to almost empty , shut it off an restart back to normal , might work good for day or so an act up again , any suggestions ? sending unit maybe ?

Probably the sending unit. I suspect that the sender just clues in the PCM what fuel level is, and the PCM tells the cluster what to display...... A silly system.... but, there ya go.
