Default 07 Ram 1500. Slip Yoke broke from Rear Differential.

Any insight would be much appreciated. Slip yoke broke away from rear diff. Wheels locking up, vibration, and noise. Can I possibly just replace slip yoke or is my rear diff. Junk?

Slip Yoke separated from Rear Differential.. can I just replace slip yoke or is my rear diff junk? Have to fix myself :/

Not a slip yoke, that feller is bolted to the pinion gear. I think yours broke.... gonna have to take it apart, and see what kind of carnage you have.

So the slip yoke is not broken? The bolt holding the slip yoke to the pinion gear is broken? Either that or the pinion gear is sheered/broken? And would have to take the whole rear differential apart and replace the pinion gear? Either that or replace with a used rear diff? Hoping to get her on a lift soon and get a better look. Thanks for the insight.

Nope, just drop the rear driveshaft, and see what parts come out. That should show what actually broke.

It's just a yoke, there's no slip (or there isn't supposed to be, yours is f@cked). Slip yoke is the one that goes into the trans on the splines, because it is designed to SLIP......
