Heater defrost and floor vents not working
Hello folks, I've been trying to find info in existing threads already on this. Found one that was informative, but this problem is confusing. It doesn't blow warm air consistently, has been that way for awhile, then suddenly the vents wouldn't switch from the dash either. Two blend doors at the same time? Maybe? I'll flush heater core tomorrow, and open up heater box to search for broken doors. Otherwise, this all seems a little daunting, any advice? Thanks everyone, for anything.
My 04 has 5 blend doors an they can all break ,,you have to drop the dash to do correctly and there should be several threads on the issue , I did mine took 4 hours or so to drop dash and replace , all the blend doors , you have to remove freon to do job out of AC as it has to be unhooked , I replaced heater core while I was at it and condenser since dash was dropped , took about 3 or 4 hours to set all back up and charge the AC ,, try youtube videos for help might find some on dropping dash ,,

Hey folks, I still haven't fixed this. It blows warm enough most of the time and thankfully these trucks don't fog up easily. I just heard though, that the vent switch could have an internal motor to switch vents. I think mine did because I recall hearing what seemed like a motor, when it was working. Is this any easier? Or has anybody got a link to previous threads? I couldn't find any of relevance by searching myself. Thanks
