Default 2005 Ram 3500 transmission electrical connector?

Hi all,

I have a 2005 Ram 3500 DRW 2WD automatic with the (I think) 45RFE [DGQ] transmission.
While working on the rear output seal, I noticed what I think is an electrical connector that may have pulled out from somewhere, but I have no idea where/what it is.

It's on the top, near the front, at about the 00:30-01:00 o'clock position as viewed from the front (the pics are from the rear looking forward). Transmission tag included, in case that helps.

Any assistance with identification would be appreciated. I think it's been disconnected a while, as it was covered with a buildup of dust and dirt. There weren't any CEL codes or strange behavior prior to noticing this.

Thanks

It's a blank connector. it's so the mating connector doesn't get full of crap.

Magnoom,

Excellent, thank you!
I was hoping it was something like that. I just haven't come across a cap with the green looking rubber on the end before.
