You must keep those tcases topped off with oil.... they get a little low, and the chain will stretch and you've got issues again.
no its not hard to rebuild them and rebuild kits are way cheaper then reman, I was just goin to rebuild the first one till I split the case and found that the chain had already wallowed the inside wall of the case itself and didn't want to chance it so i replaced the whole unit. Anyway I think the idea of just replacing with manual shift might be the way to go, like you guys said just get rid of elec ****. My trucks 5speed anyway so it's not like it's just open floor space.
