Hello, New '02 1500 owner and have some Q's
First I just wanted to say what's up to everyone, and think this is an awesome site.
I am thinking about upgrading some of the things on the truck, here are some of the items I am looking into:
Mufflers:
Summit Cat Back system: Is anyone running it, and what are the pro's and cons
Gibson Cat Back:
Flowmaster Catback
Magnaflow catback
Air intake system:
Should I go with the full kit, or just take out the stock air box and replace it with a cone filter?
Thanks for any help
Glenn

Flowmaster 40 series sounds good and its cheap. I've never actually heard any of the others in person so I can't comment on them but I do know that most full systems are expensive and don't really add alot of hp. If you're just going for sound I would just get a muffler and run dual pipes behind it.
Hello..
I am running a flowmaster deltaflow 40 series. I installed it last weekend with the help of my friends mig...lol I didn't run pipes out the back. It is a 1 inlet 2 outlet muffler. I just went to my local muffler shop and had them make me some turn downs and I have it turned down under the truck right before the axel. Sounds tough, very tough. I have had abotu 30 comments on it already. Hope this helps.
As far as the gains from it...I see maybe at the most, 2 mpg at the most. But must of all...I would say, that the sound is the best.
Peace

I have a magnaflow cat back. Had it installed by a shop, cost me about $400 if I remember right. Thing sounds tough as hell. I didn't see any mileage or perfomance increases, but I have had installed now for about 3 years, so it is tough to remember.
