Well since your stock exhaust pipe is 3" you will probably want the muffler with the 3" inlet and outlet. The o/o and o/c stands for offset/offset and offset/center relative to the inlets and outlets. On mine it's 3"c/o which just means that the inlet pipe is in the center and the outlet pipe is offcenter. I'm not sure, but from what I understand the performance should be the same regardless of whether or not the pipes are center or offset. Hope this helps.
I also have an 05 1500 hemi with the 40 series flowmaster and I have the 2.5" pipes. It sounds great. I asked the shop that installed it about using 3" and he said that since I am not running true duals that I dont need 3". So I woulld say the 2.5" are just fine, thats what I have and I am very happy with the sound I get from it.
I have an 04 Hemi, and ran 3" single out. Lost low end torque. I'd recommend 2 1/2" single out or 2 1/4" dual out. I changed to the dual with the smaller pipe and got the low end back. I have a 40 series delta flow.

Just to clarify for the the guy who started the post.... you mean, your running "2" 2.5" outlets, not one 2.5" outlet. I'm guessing the shop told you that you don't need "2" 3" outlets without true dual exhaust. So you and the shop are correct in that regard. As for me, I'm still pondering how to mount true duals..... Any of you guys have any pics of true duals on a 4x4 QC?

I have the super 40 flow master #9530452 (3" in 2.5" dual out). The sound could not be meaner. Feels and sounds great, I think I can feel a little something along the lines of performance gains. I had a buddy of mine use mandrel bent pipe to complete the duals. Could not be happier.
