Default HELP! need help finding tranny parts for my rebuild.

Heyo all, new on this forum. tho i do have forum understanding.

6 months ago i bought a 2002 Dodge ram 1500 4x4. loved it. prev owner had some sketchy stuff with it but it was a fun truck. a month ago my trans pooped out on me, making lotsa noises and had the extra glittery ATF *oooooh yay*

i have never been much of a truck guy so i dont know where to look for parts. i want something aftermarket that can handle any stock application, mild 7klbs towing and some mudding.

i also cant seem to find a tag on the trans to indicate what it is. i believe its a 46RE. it has a govenor pressure solenoid and a govenor pressure sensor, thats the RE not RH correct?

i would like to get a complete rebuild. gonna do it myself. have plenty of mechanical knowledge(been a firestone tech for a few years) but never touched a trans before. really wanna get it under my belt.

i want gears, all seals, my two previosly mentioned sensors, filter, anything known to **** out, ect. basically a master rebuilt kit and anything thats a failure point. if you guys have questions im happy to answer them. trans is already pulled and awaiting my next move,

Thanks!

If you had the 5.9 or 5.2 engine, then yeah, 46RE. Don't know what they put behind the 4.7, and I don't think the hemi was in trucks yet???? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Have a look here for trans parts.

Hemi was the 5.7, 5.9 is still the magnum engine.

That kit looks good, but, I don't know if it will have everything. Best bet would be to call 'em and have a chat.
