I just put a reman engine into my 2006 Ram 1500 4.7 QC 2WD truck. I ran into a problem trying to locate motor mounts but I came up with a solution that I want to pass along. The mounts are discontinued and the aftermarket doesn't make them. There is a guy on Ebay that sells fabricated mounts with polyurethane bushings but I didn't want to spend $450 and I would prefer softer mounts. What I did is order motor mount bushings for a 2006 Ram with a 5.7 from Napa(about $40 for a pair). They are 95mm and 105mm just like the 4.7 bushings. You will need a press to change these but I'll give you some tips. The first tip is to get a paint marker and mark the bushings in the proper orientation...they are different left to right and are not centered(they stick out further on one end). Once you press(or cut) the old ones out, you will want to take your grinder and take about 1/8" of the lip off of the long edges on the side of the cast bracket you want to press the new bushing in. Take your grinder and bevel the other two edges as well. Make sure to not leave sharp edges that will catch on the rubber. Now you have the bracket ready for your new bushing. Make sure you have it oriented correctly(remember you should have it marked). I used silicone spray for lubrication but dish soap would also work...use plenty. Start pressing the new mount in by pressing on the center. Use a screwdriver or something to help it get started. Keep pressing even though you'll feel like your going to ruin the bushing. That rubber is pretty tough and it'll deform a lot but it'll eventually go. It might not pop in straight but that's no big deal. If you need to, put the bracket in a vise and stick a rod through the bolt hole in the bushing and twist it straight. Oh, and don't worry about the material you ground away. Those bushings have a big wide ridge around them...that is the part that actually holds the bushing in. Hopefully this helps someone with a 2006 2007 or so 2wd Ram 4.7.
