04 Hemi, Taylor Shorty wires 8.2 or 10.4 MM ? Thundervolt or? and Plugs 06 Conversion
Well both sets/models of the Taylor shorty wires were a fail, the 10.4 didn't throw a code for about 2 weeks and then it was none stop after that.
Radio noise was there but not as bad a the first set.
I installed the MSD 8.5 full length last night and so far so good.
Taylors look so much better but my suggestion is to stay away from them, The MSD look like a rats nest and I am having a hard time getting them to look decent.

So, ah... question please.
Pease excuse my ignorance, I am HEMI 5.7 newbie having acquired this truck 5 months ago... So I understand wasted spark is to try to burn off remaining fuel to save the catalytic converter and thus the environment...
It appears the shorty wires just have both plugs firing simultaneously in the same cylinder instead of all that crazy cross town wire looming I now have.
So, doesn't the computer see that there is no more wasted spark via the o2 sensor(s) or anything? Is there a computer hack or tuner needed to make this work well?
AND,
Now asides from the spark assurance from redundancy, and better volumetric fuel burn in the single power stroke, what if we just left an old spark plug in the extra hole and didn't run any wires?
Wouldn't it run like a small block Chevy with domed pistons?
Again, flame me if you must, but I am thinking out loud and hopefully someone can educate me like the Hemi child that I am.
Admittedly, I thought "16 spark plugs??" what if I just rotated the old primary plugs (re-gaped) into the waste plug holes and just refreshed the good set. I am a conservative (and I am cheap thrifty...)

Get one that is meaner than the amount of power you are using.
