front shocks

Default front shocks

need a more heavy duty shock. I found this shock and coil . its for a ford E150
MONROE 5860

this is a shock that's on my truck, replace it last year didn't last long

Monroe 34516 is the one that rock auto has that fits my truck. the main reason I'm asking is for my plow. the shocks just can't hold up. I have a light duty plow. I figure that someone has found a way to beef them up to stop the sagging
or I just found these

Not cheap but maybe air shocks on the front?

Usually people are using a 3/4 ton for plow use. 03 has torsion bars, might want to see if you can upgrade those - then get new shocks on it.

Bilstein 5100. Won't address your spring rate, though. Sounds like you need more spring, maybe.

That's why I want to see if I could put a MONROE 5860 or GABRIEL 34076. they have a coil and is rated for more weight. plus there is a lot of people where I live have light weight plow on 1500 and f150 but they are of gen 2 that was coils. the bottom sleeve hole is not the problem I could press drill the rubber for the bolt hole. just need to know if it would work for the top

You don't want to use shock mounts to support weight. They are not designed for that.

If you're just clearing your property, get an old cast iron garden tractor or quad. I use an old Bolens tube frame tractor. I can push snow up steep hills with that setup.
