08 ram random misfire at idle only

Starting fluid most certainly should not kill the motor. That's just strange.

That's what I was thinking as well tried it a few times always killed the motor. Was thinking maybe bad spark could cause it to drown the motor?

Why are you spraying into the throttle body looking for vacuum leak? You should be looking at places where air isn't supposed to be entering the engine.
