Check it out

RE: Check it out
How about this for a ****ty day.
I'm off from work on Mondays. Other than school at night, I usually just hang out and kill people in Counterstrike CS:S. I needed to go to the post office. On my way back, some old lady that was parked on the side of the road pulled out and right into me. Now you know how big the Quad Cab 4X4 1500 with the 20" rims is. I'm A LOT bigger than her little car. And the point of impact was just in front of the passenger front door. That would mean that my truck was next to her when she pulled out. Hardly a blind spot if you ask me. It felt like I hit a speed bump. I thought to myself, "When did they put speed bumps in my town?" Then I saw her behind me veering across the street with her front end hanging off. DON'T MESS WITH THE HEMI BITCH!!! So I pulled over and went around to check out the damage. "OUCH! Don't think a little compound is going to get that out." I went across the street to ask the lady if she was alright. This happened about 100 feet from the police station too. How convenient. So I went to get a cop. One walked out the door as I got there and I told him there was an accident. He told me he knew and he was on his way to it. I told him, "No, it's right here." I didn't want him to make a stop at the local Dunkin Donuts before getting to us. When I finally got the police report, I found out she didn't even get a ticket. I guess she begged the cop not to give her one since she was 65 years old. Maybe it's time to hang up the keys for her. I got a check for $4000 yesterday. I doubt that will cover the damage. The day after the accident, it rained pretty good. It was raining inside my truck. She hit me THAT hard that there is a gap I can put my hand through above the passenger door on the inside.

Now, I gotta find a repair place that does excellent work. I'm most likely getting rid of the truck after its fixed because it is now tainted. There is a squeaking noise behind the radio when I drive over and bumps in the road. There may be a chance it will be totaled if they find some frame damage (I'm hoping). My first brand new 4-wheeles vehicle.
Sorry for the long-*** story.

RE: Check it out
I didn't get ripped off...yet. The truck still looks like the pictures. This happened the Mon after Turkey day. It took this long to get the check. The estimate was from an adjuster from the ladys Ins. Co. It states that the estimate may be adjusted (dam right it will be). The adjuster only came to my house and looked at it from the outside. I filled out the accident report for the Ins. Co. telling them what else happened. Wherever I choose to get it fixed, when they find out there is more damage than what 4G will cover, they will call the Ins. and have the adjuster come out again and look at the other stuff that is wrong. I can't open the passneger doors because they overlap. That makes getting a good estimate a problem unless I already had it in a shop and apart. So I'll most likely get another check in the future while the truck is in the shop.
