Hey I have an 04 3500 with the 5.9 cummins auto 4wd the other day I seen a lot of white smoke and the engine started knocking it only knocks at idle or maybe light throttle but none at 1/2 or more throttle I was told by a buddy at work it was injector knock. How would I start to diagnose this issue or fix it?

Well today I just discovered the flywheel on the tranny to be spinning but it looks warped or atleast spinning in and out if that makes sense so I think that's the issue

 

Loss of coolant? Any blow-by? Is the radiator being pressurized by combustion gasses? A injector service can save you a $10k+ repair bill.

 

No blow by no coolant loss the flywheel I got up under it is moving back and forth it looks like
