Add this to the oil... 8 oz minimum, then on the next oil change repeat and use moving forward. It will remove any buildup internally (so they say) and keep the motor happy. My '02 4.7 had a lot of crap come out when it went into full time service on the 1st oil change and has subsequently been coming out as expected on the following oil changes. Motor has 195k on it and runs pretty good.

thanks for the tip, anything to last that 4.7 longer is appreciated. I’m a little worried that I’m going to get forbidden sparkles out of my first oil change, but only time will tell
