Gauge Cluster Acting Strange
Hello Everyone new to the forum,
Please forgive me if this has already been discussed, but I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab SLT 5.7 Hemi.
Recently my gauge cluster has begun to act strangely, the truck starts right up, all the gauges drop to left side, No Bus is not displayed in the odometer. If the truck sits for awhile ( let’s say an hour or so, even overnight) the cluster will work again and then about 5 to 10 minutes later everything will drop left again. The truck is fully functional other than the gauges. I have brake lights, tail lights, parking lights, turn signals, headlights (high and low) fog lights, horn and radio. Just no gauges, I’m at a total loss here.

The battery is often the source for these weird symptoms.
Get a USB charger that has a digital voltage readout. See if the voltage flickers when your gauges do.
Check battery cables are clean and tight. Some good videos on checking battery grounds.

With the ignition off, push and hold the trip reset button in while you move the key to the on position, keep holding it until the test begins.
Watch as all the needles move and the lights are illuminated.
Be ready to start writing down codes as they appear in the mileage window.
Post the here and also try to google them yourself. Post anything else that seems abnormal such as a gauge that doesn't appear to sweep.
Cheers
Welcome to the forum.
I just got your same truck several weeks ago. What color?
